King Sprout

While children across the land curse the dreaded sprout – how pleased was I to see The Worlds’ Healthiest Foods Food of the Week is the good ol’ sprout …

The one above is the ‘king’ sprout from the top of some sprouts we had for Christmas dinner last year.

I fried this shredded sprout with some chilli in a little olive oil. Scrumptious. Add some grated apple and garlic and it’d be even more delicious. Especially with some warm crusty bread. Mmmm.

I detested sprouts until just this year. I’m not sure what changed my tastebuds, but I did overhaul my diet this year, so maybe all this healthy eating turns you into a Sproutamaniac. ;)

Yeah – I think once you get healthy, your tastes really do change. Sprouts are wee bundles of healthiness, aren’t they?
